udev 051
Yesterday I uploaded a new udev package. Only one user reported it totally breaking his system, so I'll call it a success (the bug is being investigated, but so far it looks bogus). This release is important because it simplifies the configuration by merging rules files and permissions files. Now there is a single main rules file which contains permissions and naming rules for most devices.
I know that the rules for the ISDN devices are probably incomplete and wrong, but I have not been able to find anybody who fully understands this obsolete technology. If you know how the device nodes of isdn4linux and mISDN are used, please send me mail or look for me on IRC.
Now I have a few frozen packages waiting to enter testing. Among them there is a new whois release, with important updates. I'm proud that my list of servers is still better than the official ICANN ccTLD database.
