Project Utopia
Robert Love posted to his blog a few Project Utopia use cases. I encourage people interested in usability and autoconfiguration issues to read them. On my part, I'm doing my best to provide the needed features in the udev and hotplug packages.
I just uploaded a new whois package to fix the bug in my workaround for the DENIC whois brokeness. I wish I had the time to rewrite the program, the code has become too much tangled to be maintained properly.
I also uploaded a new udev package with some new configuration files. Now it's possible to configure it to have devfs-like names and a full set of compatibility symlinks, which is the default of the current Red Hat and SuSE package.
