New hotplug package

A new hotplug package which fixes the most annoying bugs left has been uploaded. The new feature of automatically loading the drivers for PCI devices created some interesting situations, like loading the OSS driver before the ALSA init script will be able to load its one.

This week end I will start again to work on udev, packaging the latest version and switching to the traditional /dev layout. We still need to assign to a package the responsability of loading drivers like ide-cd and drivers for non-hardware devices like loop and tun/tap. Current 2.6 kernels also need something which will load psmouse until serio hotplugging will be fixed. Should the udev init script do this? hotplug? module-init-tools?

Even if it was supposed to have been built on kullervo about two weeks ago, ppp has not been uploaded to the archive yet. I still wonder if some m68k developers hate me.
