A dialogue between me and an OpenBSD developer about the license of a program I released today:
would you consider switching to a BSD license?
I did, but I fail to see how allowing non-free derivatives would improve the program. I am more interested in being able to use improvements developed by others than in extreme adoption.
well, either you want it to be free, then say so, without putting stupid restrictions and lawyer bullshit on it. or you don't want it to be. gpl is not free.
