tales of a debian maintainer

a new module-init-tools

module-init-tools 3.1 introduces some important changes in the handling of its config files. Now the files in the /etc/modprobe.d/ directory are processed directly by modprobe itself, so update-modules is not needed anymore.

I also recently uploaded new tin and whois packages.

In unrelated news, people on debian-legal apparently declared the Mozilla Public License non-free. This means that some important packages like Firebird and AOLServer (and Mozilla itself unless it will be fully relicensed) would have to be removed from the distribution. Am I the only one thinking that there is something very wrong in what has been happening recently on debian-legal?
